Map - Directions

From The East (Dumfries)
Follow the A75 from Dumfries until 1 mile past Glenluce you will
see a sign for Portpatrick (B7084) on your left hand side. Take
this turning and follow the road for approximately 2 miles, you
will come to a fork in the road, the B7084 is the left hand
cut off, you take the right fork and it is now the B7077,
follow this for another 2 miles. You will come to a junction with
a sign to the right towards Stranraer and Portpatrick (A77), take this
road for about 1/4 of a mile, again you will see a sign to turn left
for the B7077 towards Lochans and Portpatrick, take this turning and
East and Braeside Cottages are the first buildings you will see on
your right hand side. Keys should be collected from East Cottage
(although please try both cottages if there is no reply from
East Cottage).
From The North
Follow the A77 until you come to the town of Stranraer. Straight
along the sea front until at the end of the straight you come to
a railway bridge, turn left and follow the signs for Portpatrick (A77),
go straight until you hit a junction (about 150yrds), straight over the
junction and follow the road round the large bend, up over the hill
and down to another junction, turn left on to Dalrymple Street,
still following the signs for Portpatrick (A77). Go straight on and you
will come to a roundabout, again straight on. This road will take
you out of the town, approximately 2 1/2 miles later you will
see a sign on your right for Lochans and Portpatrick (A77), ignore
this turning and carry on to the end of the straight, up a slight rise
and round a bend. On the right hand side you will see another
sign for Lochans and Portpatrick (B7077 - A77), take this one
and East and Braeside Cottages are the first buildings you
will see on your right hand side. Keys should be collected from
East Cottage (although please try both cottages if there is no
reply from East Cottage).
